Samantha B. Benson, MD
Born in Elberton, Georgia. Attended North Georgia College in Dahlonega,
GA, graduating summa cum laude. Graduated first in her class from Emory University School
of Medicine where she also completed her residency training. Stayed on another year with
Emory as Chief Resident in internal medicine. After graduating, spent 3 years in
private practice in the Alpharetta and Suwanee area. Opened Internal
Medicine Associates of Johns Creek in February of 2005.

Tiffany E. Edwards, MD
Born in Atlanta, GA. Attended Spelman College in Atlanta, GA, graduating cum laude. Graduated from Medical
College of Georgia (MCG) in Augusta, GA where she also completed her residency training in Internal Medicine.
Participated in many research opportunities throughout the years and designed a clinical trial as a postdoctoral
fellow for her alma mater to determine the role of Cardiac MRI in Myocardial Sarcoidosis. Avidly worked to open the
Small Animal imaging Lab at MCG’s Cancer Research center with Dr. Tom C-C Hu. After graduating from MCG June 2010,
moved back to her hometown of 23 years to join the Internal Medicine Associates of Johns Creek.

Karon Dunn, FNP-C
Born in Butler, Georgia. Attended MCCG School of Nursing in Macon, Ga., Diploma in Nursing.
Brenau University in Gainesville for BSN and GA. State University College of Health Sciences in Atlanta for MSN. Credentialed after boards
by the ANCC and AANP as a Family Nurse Practitioner. A member of the Honor Society in Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau. I have worked in Medicine
since 1973. Since becoming a Nurse Practitioner in 1996, I worked in Alpharetta, Ga. for an Internal Medicine Practice for 9 years before joining
Dr. Benson’s practice.

Julie Michelitch, FNP-C
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and grew up in northeastern Ohio. She attended the Medical College of Ohio where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
She received her Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Georgia State University. She is a member of the International Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma
Theta Tau. Prior to obtaining her masters, she worked at St Joseph’s Hospital of Atlanta for 10 years. Since becoming a nurse practitioner in 2001, she has worked
both in a family practice and internal medicine practice in Alpharetta.

Michelle Hall, FNP-C
Born in Oneida, Tennessee. She attended North Georgia College and State University where she
obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, as well as her Master of Science Degree as
a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the Honor Society in Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau.
She has worked in various areas of medicine for 15 years. Prior to obtaining her FNP degree,
she worked in an Allergy & Asthma clinic, a Private Pediatric office and a Corporate Wellness group.
She currently has an article publication (in press) for the
Journal of Pediatric Nursing titled
Peak flow monitoring in pediatric asthma management.
